Accelerated Real Time Analytics Showcase

February 2 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Event Navigation

The event showcased NC State’s new status as a partner in an NSF-funded Industry/University Collaborative Research Center (I/UCRC). This I/UCRC, called the Center for Accelerated Real Time Analytics (CARTA) is focused on pushing the research envelop of real-time, accelerated data analytics.

CARTA is a collaboration of universities (presently NC State, University of Maryland Baltimore County, and Rutgers University) along with industry and government partners (including NASA, NSA, DHS, NIH/NIDA, IBM, Northrup Grumman, SAS, Lexis Nexis, Merck, Dell/EMC, Siemens, Disney, GE, and many others). We are dedicated to solving the hard problems and Grand Challenges in domains such as Cybersecurity, Healthcare, and the Internet of Things (IoT). The NC State site is led by Dr. Rada Chirkova, Professor in the Department of Computer Science.

Twenty-four individuals representing a diverse group of regional industry and government agencies engaged with sixteen faculty and student researchers who presented their related research, highlighting the potential impacts of the Center for NC State, North Carolina, and beyond.
